These terms apply when you use the resume checker on this site.

What the service does

The checker reads a PDF you upload, reports problems it finds, and can apply a small set of fixes to a copy of the file. It is provided free of charge by ATSCheck.

What it does not promise

• The checker inspects the file itself. It does not run any employer's or vendor's software, so a file that passes here can still be handled badly by a particular system.
• A clean report does not mean you will get an interview or a job.
• The service may be slow or unavailable, and it limits how many files can be checked each minute and each day.

Your file

• Upload only files you have the right to use.
• Your file stays yours. We claim no rights in it.
• Keep your original. Open a fixed file and read it before you send it to anyone.

Acceptable use

• Use the checker through this page. Automated access, scraping, and use of its interface by another application or site are not allowed without written permission.
• Do not upload files meant to damage or probe the service.

Liability

The service is provided as it is, without warranties. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for losses that result from using it. If we are found liable anyway, our total liability to you is limited to a refund of the money you paid us to use the service. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States. Any dispute about them goes to the courts of Los Angeles County, California.
